MEDTRAC™

Venture profile

National and regional health programmes combining MEDTRAC capability with partners.

MEDTRAC™ and NETLITE™ require coordinated funding and staged delivery to move from development into African pilot deployment and, ultimately, wider national rollout. The programme covers technology, equipment, testing, people, governance and deployment infrastructure — not a single software product.

Development timeline — completed

2020 — Digital lab concept established. Combined AI with multiple digital healthcare signals to produce structured clinical decision support.
2022–2025 — Technology development and early validation. Core technology developed and integrated with AI; tested with more than 1,000 people. Limited lab-based validation involving 10 clients with tick-borne disease indicators.
2023 — Proof of concept. Offline and intermittent-connectivity mobile application capability created for local and community programmes.
2025 — Questionnaire and digital lab development. Questionnaire system and digital lab software developed and expanded.
2026 — Questionnaire Version 2 and digital lab testing. Version 2 deployed and tested through Atlantis Clinic in Malta, alongside limited testing in Africa. Testing identified the need for recovery to the last completed question following intermittent internet loss.

August 2026 — Secure health minister support. Pilot planning, country engagement and government participation.
August–October 2026 — Funding discussions covering development, testing, pilot deployment and local support.

Initial pilot funding

The initial pilot requirement is expected to be approximately EUR 100K–250K, including development and testing. Final amount is adjusted by the number of pilot countries, participating clinics and hubs, Questionnaire Version 4 scope, portable diagnostic equipment, connectivity and power, testing and validation, training and workforce, and data collection and reporting.
